What is Athletic Compliance?
The purpose of the Compliance Department is to coordinate, administer, monitor, and verify that Mercyhurst meets NCAA-required standards, and to assist in maintaining the school's compliance with the NCAA, Ivy ECAC, and College rules. The Compliance Department also provides interpretive support so that all individuals involved with the sports programs at Mercyhurst are able to fully understand the College's compliance expectations.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to operate our program in such a way that no infractions of NCAA or College rules are able to occur. We are committed to maintaining control of our athletic programs through responsible administrators. We are also committed to finding and reporting any violation of the rules which may occur. Every individual involved with the athletic program is obligated to be aware of all NCAA rules, and to report any violations that may occur.
