April 6, 2008
Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. - The Mercyhurst men's tennis team completed a successful trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula with an 8-1 win over Lake Superior State Sunday. The victory moved the Lakers back to .500 in the conference and gave Mercyhurst a 2-0 weekend. Lake Superior State's only victory came at No. 4 singles and Ronald Heurich battled to a 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (12-10) win at No. 5. Kyle King picked up a hard-fought 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 6. Hansson and Przybysz also rolled to an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles and Cotic and Marnik won 8-5 at No. 2. In the No. 3 doubles spot, Heurich and King rolled to an 8-3 win for their third consecutive doubles victory.
