Doug comes to Mercyhurst after a successful college career at West Liberty State. Doug was a 3-time National Qualifier and a 2-time Academic All-American at 125 pounds for the Hilltoppers. He graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education with a 3.3 GPA.

Doug is originally from Martin's Ferry, Ohio, and was a state placer in high school.

He is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Endurance Sports Trainers Association (NESTA).
